Dr. Darrell Lochtefeld

VP and Division Manager, Intelligent Systems

 

 

Dr. Darrell Lochtefeld spent 13 years in government service and 9 years as a contractor. Dr. Lochtefeld holds degrees in computer science, business administration, and engineering, and he studied machine intelligence applications for his doctorate degree. Two of Dr. Lochtefeld’s three degrees were obtained from Wright State University’s College of Engineering. He has extensive experience working for the Joint Chemical and Biological Defense (CBD) and Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) communities. He has a deep background in modeling and simulation, analysis and data mining, information fusion, machine intelligence, and training systems. Dr. Lochtefeld is married with six stepchildren and lives on a small farm north of Dayton. His background as a farm-boy from Ohio shows in his work ethic and practical nature. Dr. Lochtefeld’s last held position was with the Air Force Research Laboratory 711 Human Performance Wing Warfighter Interface Division where he managed advanced product development and transition. Dr. Lochtefeld recently returned to the area from a six-month assignment as Special Assistant to the Chief Scientist of the Air Force.
