Lt. Gen. (Ret) C.D. Moore

Lt. Gen. (Ret) C.D. Moore is the Chief Operating Officer for Caliburn International. He is responsible for successful execution of the company’s ten business lines and 7000 employees operating in 30 countries. C.D. served in the United States Air Force (USAF) for nearly 35 years and reached the rank of Lieutenant General.  C.D. has operations experience leading large organizations and complex aerospace programs.

As the first Commander of the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center, he built a new organization responsible for acquisition and product support for all USAF aircraft, engines, munitions, and electronic/cyber systems. He served in the Pentagon as Director of Special Programs in the Office of the Secretary of Defense, deployed to Baghdad during Operation Iraqi Freedom, and is an accomplished experimental test pilot with over 3,000 hours in 30+ type aircraft. Before joining Caliburn, he served as a senior consultant and business owner as well as a board member for a variety of corporate and not-for-profit organizations. His consulting work for government and aerospace industry clients involved strategic planning, organizational change management, business development, manufacturing, software development and predictive analytics.

He serves on the Board of Directors for the Air Force Museum Foundation, Parallax Applied Research Corporation and the National Aviation Heritage Alliance. As a Guggenheim Fellow, he earned an M.S. in Aeronautical Engineering from Columbia University. He also earned an M.S. in National Resource Strategy from The Industrial College of the Armed Forces (National Defense University). In addition, he holds a B.S. in Aeronautical Engineering and a B.S. in Political Science from the United States Air Force Academy.
